FullSail Systems has tested many CMS systems, no matter the popularity and/or trend. The focus of these tests wasn't necessary to find the best performing CMS system, but to elevate our hosting products to meet the demand of our clients CMS platforms.

These benchmark performance tests have been conducted on the stock version/core CMS systems. We then populated the CMS with the included sample or standard demo data that has been shipped with the installation package. These systems have not been modified and are in their original install state. For example, no-cache mechanisms have been activated or any form of additional performance aid applied. The goal of this approach had been to remove as many variables that could skew test results. They only had one thing in common, all of these CMS systems had been deployed on the FullSail Systems Production Hosting Platform.
[Testing Information: Review FullSail Systems Testing Protocol]Our team compiled a list of popular CMS Systems based on a list of prerequisites. Each CMS is placed on the same server with the same server configuration.
Every CMS is tested with a series of prespecified tests in a specific order. We test using 2 tools Google Lighthouse (including chrome inspector plugin and CLI using Node.js) and Google Page Speed Insights.
Once these tests have been completed we document all of the tests and find the mean average of their results.
Lighthouse is an open-source, automated tool for improving the quality of web pages. You can run it against any web page, public or requiring authentication. It has audits for performance, accessibility, progressive web apps, and more.
[Source: Google Lighthouse]As a comparison to a "stock" CMS system, the FullSail Systems Development team has loaded a basic web application for testing. This application has been tuned via the FullSail Systems onboarding process.
You can find these performance test results below. The physical web application can also be visited, tested, and/or inspected and no sign-up is required to view this information.
